ARMM TOURISM COUNCIL ORGANIZED. Mrs.
Juana Sahali, Chairperson of the Tourism Council of Tawi-tawi, recently got
elected chairperson of the ARMM Tourism Council. A day after her induction, we
briefly discussed broad strokes that would prioritize a two-year action plan
anchored on realities on the ground. ARMM Tourism Assistant Secretary Maria
Theresa K. Sakkalahul who is charge of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-tawi (BaSulTa)
agreed to focus on doing an inventory of sights and attractions that are
considered low hanging fruits for development and to work closely with LGUs in
ensuring security and the development of tour circuits matched with priority
target markets. We likewise agreed to align ARMM tourism plans following the
